Briseida Ochoa (Brioch) is an artist who was born in 1989, and currently in working in the region of El Paso, Texas, USA. and Cd. Juárez, Chih., México. Brioch uses photography and printmaking as a means to bring to light new perspectives and realities with the help of a cyanotype and anthotype techniques. Brioch’s work focuses on the idea of transcendence and the reality of a poetic visual narrative through forms such as the human figure, landscapes, scenographs, installations, performances and symbolism. Deploying the interaction of reality with memories and imagination, Brioch’s latest works are closely linked to the elements of abstraction in his process es of cyanotype and anthotype. The project in which Brioch is currently working is called Dobleces // Pliegues (FoldsCrease), a short film. In this film, the discussion varies from that of the figure of women in the contour of the techniques, differing processes and subjects such as time, body language, and natural resources in the region. In this feature, they also collaborate with contemporary dancers.
